Why we prefer "me"-sentences

Oktober 2023

The original DigComp names 21 digital compentences, grouped into 5 areas. The competences are described with sentences such as "2.1. Interacting through digital technologies." In our own adaption of the model, we decided to rather use "me"-sentences. The same competence in our version is called "I am able to use different media
to communicate and interact with others."

What VHS Hannover initially planned to do

May 2024

In preparation of the Hannover meeting of the DigCompAE project, we summarize internally our ideas how we at VHS Hannover want to integrate the DigComp framework into our everday work. Why we added a sixth area and called it „zero“

Oktober 2024

At VHS Hannover, we are only a few step away from making our DigComp level classifications for our courses public. However, now there are growing concerns.

Use a label "100 % digital-free course" as a positive selling argument?

A word about "digital" versus "analogue"

October 2025

There is a problem with terminology. DigComp is meant to help define "digital" skills of citizens, as a step towards helping citizens to improve these skills. But what are "digital" skills? And how are they different from "analogue skills"?
